Welcome to Culpepper's Cajun Kitchen!

Culpepper's is back!

Culpepper's has relocated and is back better than ever.  We have relocated to the south side of town and made a few changes, including our name.  We are now Culpepper's Cajun Kitchen , located at 6502 S.Academy Blvd. (at the intersection of Hwy. 115 & S. Academy in the Safeway shopping center).  In a response to the current economic challenges and many of our customers reduced pocketbooks, we have made some changes to offer a value-priced menu.  We now will have lunch prices all day and have switched from full service to counter service.  Because our liquor license could not be transferred to our new location, it will be a few months before we have beer and wine in the house. We still have the same award-winning food you love and Martin's smiling face  waiting for you. Our website is currently under construction - updates will be arriving soon.
Hope to see you at our new spot soon!

We are a chain of one. Culpepper’s is composed of the owners, Martin Anderson and Kathy Culpepper Anderson and their sons Erick and Ethan Anderson. The owners and sons arrived in Colorado Springs in 1992 and love it here. Martin was born in Lake Charles, LA and raised in a small Cajun town, Oberlin. He has a degree from LSU and many years in the restaurant industry. Kathy grew up in Baton Rouge and attended LSU also. Her multi-faceted skills include her traditional southern dessert expertise. Our traditional Louisiana menu consists of the foods that we grew up with, many of which we have made at home for decades. Erick and Ethan both have extensive experience in the Colorado Springs restaurant scene. Together, under Martin’s supervision, they run most of our day-to-day kitchen operations and create our delicious food. We are committed to ensuring that our offerings live up to the highest standards of Louisiana cuisine and strive for our customers to experience the true taste of Louisiana at Culpepper’s.

It’s all about the food!!! Culpepper’s offers the very best of authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine with a sprinkling of our own original creations. Our dedication to the highest quality ingredients and traditional made from scratch cooking is real. Slow cooked classics such as Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice and Shrimp Creole share the spotlight with blackened specialties, exciting appetizers, hearty portions of fried seafood, New Orleans po-boys, great original cocktails and tempting desserts. Beignets anyone?

Be prepared for personal, friendly service and an upbeat atmosphere enhanced by the very best of Louisiana music. You will dine in surroundings featuring mountain views from the dining room. The décor has a modern New Orleans feel, easy on clutter, big on Louisiana. To get you in and out fast, we will use fast casual service. With  Louisiana crawfish boils in the spring, and Mardi Gras celebrations in February, there is always something unique happening at Culpepper’s!
